What have we done?
The Purple Hearts team have been very busy organising fun events to raise much needed funds for medical research at the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research.

2016
An Evening of Tapas with Purple Hearts
A wonderful evening was had launching our new partnership with Academy Café where an exclusive tapas menu and wine was shared with friends, families and supporters of Purple Hearts.
The night started with a grand red carpet entrance, photo shoot and pre-dinner drinks before all guests were entertained with live Spanish music, a fabulous range of raffle items and of course the mouth-watering tapas courses!
A big thank you to Soroush Etbash and his team at Academy Café – including the wonderfully Chef Jay Tesorero and his talented team of food artists!
Ladies Day Willetton Football Club
The Willetton Football Club (WFC) hosted their annual Ladies Day on Saturday, 9th July, joining with the Purple Hearts team to fundraise for women’s cancers research at the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research via the new Hawaiian Walk for Women’s Cancer. Despite the horrible weather, there was a great turnout of ladies to watch the league game whilst sheltering under marquees. They enjoyed bubbles, wine and food, as well as a selection of shopping stalls. The WFC team wore specially designed purple and pink jerseys, which were auctioned off at a post-game evening event in the clubhouse.
